I believe creatives should establish their own paths to success by collaborating with other independent artists and releasing our projects via nontraditional platforms. The support from HBCU students and alums, through social media and word of mouth, has been instrumental in increasing exposure for my work."

For years, I held a lucrative job with the U.S. Department of Defense doing work that I liked but didn't always love. I relied on Proverbs 18:16, 'A man's gift will make room for him...' and took a leap of faith to change careers and use my creative skills. I no longer have to settle for being satisfied; I can be happy.”
