BRENDA, Describe Your 9-to-5. Or As My Nana Would Would Ask: “How do you put food on the table, baby?: "I am semi-retired, but open to acquiring a full-time job.

"I am currently engaged in 'gig' jobs where I utilize my career skills in organizational communications for interim and contract positions. These 'gig' jobs include: writing/editing, consulting on branding/public relations/marketing, and event coordination."

Is BRENDA A Hustla' Or Enjoying A Guilty Pleasure?: "I enjoy going to networking events where I gain new insights or meet folks who may be able to use my skills. I continued hosting a jazz program for ten more years after I graduated from Spelman.

How Does BRENDA 'Play The Game' And Not 'Hate The Playa'?: "I go into meetings and events prepared to be 'wowed' and ready to ask questions. I go in as a 'learner', disarming folks as me being their potential competition. I am a subtle 'hustler'."
